Soft-system
From Friend2Friend Wiki
An F2F server supports a set of soft-systems, each of which is an independent virtual machine, running in its own process, with a separate cryptographic keypair and unique address, managing its own data, so could be used by a different user.
Soft systems are made up of a set of soft nodes to import from soft-systems elsewhere, and a tree of local soft nodes. They are compiled before use, which creates a large number of XML files which detail which services are available from which nodes, and which users are allowed to access which resources. Their exact format need not concern the average F2F programmer.
