There are 2 sorts of compilation in F2F, both are carried out by Hard Code, and both involve the creation of a large number of necessary XML files from a much smaller set of master files.
- Compiling the F2F core processes the core definition file to create schemas for automatic validation of the core services. It is carried out from the administrator's GUI.
- For convenience, this also entails compilation of the custom modules from their module definition files, to create schemas for the custom services.
- Soft-systems are compiled whenever they are created, and this process generates all the folders/files pertinent to that system. As well as schemas for automatic validation of the core services, this entails files to handle access control, resource resolution, etc. This process is repeated when soft-nodes are added to or deleted from the system, or in response to the system-compile service.
